Hameed Naseem, PhD
Dr. Hameed A. Naseem received his B.Sc. Honors and M.Sc. Honors degrees in Physics from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, in 1975 and 1976, respectively. He received his M.S. Physics and Ph.D. Material Engineering Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, in 1980 and 1984, respectively. He worked as a postdoctoral research associate at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX, from Jan. 1984 to July 1985. Dr. Naseem served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, from 1985 to 1990. He served as an Associate Professor from 1990-95, and a Professor from 1995 to 2015. He has been appointed as University Professor since 2016. Dr. Naseem has been a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since 1990. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed journal and proceedings papers and presented about 200 papers at national/international conferences.
Dr. Naseem is currently serving as President, Tulsa Chapter, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA. He regularly teaches the Holy Quran translation online through Talimul Quran program of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
