Sohail Husain, MD
Dr. Sohail Husain is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He serves as Director of the Exocrine Pancreas Center at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Husain heads a research laboratory that investigates the underlying basis for disorders of the pancreas, including pancreatic inflammation and regeneration. To date, Dr. Husain has published over 85 scientific papers, including several book chapters on pancreatic development and pancreatic disorders. He currently holds several research grants from the USA National Institutes of Health (NIH) and industry. On a Jamaat level, Dr. Husain serves as the President of the Association of Ahmadi Muslim Scientists, USA (AAMS-USA). Locally in Pittsburgh, he serves as Zaim Ansarullah.
